Introduction:
The objective of the 2024 training program is to develop each team to better understand the different
moments within the game of soccer. Beyond just learning the positions and their responsibilities, each
player will be taught the tactical structure of how to progress, penetrate, create and occupy space while
manipulating the rivals system to our benefit. Soccer is played in transitions, and the team that better
comprehends how to control and manage both the defensive, and offensive transitions, will have the
ultimate success.

When in possession of the ball, the team needs to work hard and stay focused to keep and guard the ball
while finding short/medium passes to create defensive gaps, offering constant support at all times to the
ball holder. The purpose must be to penetrate the defensive lines, taking advantage of the open spaces
being created to progress with the intention to score.

Defensively, the team must learn to press quickly as a whole and prevent the rivals from playing in the
danger zones. There is a structure to pressing as well as an organization when retracting, and the team
must cohesively act as one.
